Have a listen to Enemy Pie written by Derek Munson and illustrated by Tara Calahan King. I really like this story and I think its has a wonderful message. What do you think the message of the story is? I hear this classmate is working hard on his football skills in his garden with his goals. Keep up the super work! Wow! Great work with your counting, number formation and colouring! I think this is a wonderful reminder to be mindful of the beauty of nature all around us. When I go for a walk I try to listen for the birds singing and look for the flowers growing and the trees swaying. The next time you go for a walk try to think about; What can I see? What can I hear? etc. You might like to try Mindful Movements visualisation (8minutes) taken from the PDST website. Hi boys,
Today you will be doing some lovely activities based on gratitude. Do you remember at the start of this blog I told you about how I was filling in my gratitude journal with the things I am grateful for? I wanted to let you know a few things that I am very grateful for today: 1. The wonderful boys in my class. I enjoyed every day going into school and teaching each and every one of you. 2. For all the Mums/ Dads and adults who have supported you and worked so hard helping you with your activities and work at home for the last few months. 3. Hearing about how you are getting on from the e-mails and pictures sent from your parents. Click below to listen to a visualisation for children.
Taken from the PDST website (Health and Wellbeing) which is in the useful links section of our blog. Hi everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend. I am delighted to say that this week is 'Wellness Week'. It is so important that we look after ourselves by keeping both our minds and bodies healthy. Have a read of the beautiful Irish seanfhocal (proverb) below! Over the last couple of weeks we have looked at how to keep our minds and bodies healthy with nourishing foods and with movement and exercise. This week we will be looking at areas such as gratitude, self-compassion, kindness and what makes us wonderful.
I really hope you enjoy the activities this week! I would love to hear how you are getting on so feel free to send a message or pictures to [email protected] Join Meath Coaching and Games on Wed June 24th at 11am
